Employee of the Month

Our September 2025 Employee of the Month is Mrs. Heather Phillips. Mrs. Phillips is a proud 1994 graduate of Texas High School, Mrs. Phillips is a dedicated wife, mother of five, and grandmother of one. She began her teaching journey in 2005 at Dunbar Elementary, and for the past 5 years, has served as an Instructional Coach—providing guidance and support to teachers as they grow in their practice. Mrs. Phillips is passionate about helping both students and educators reach their fullest potential. Mrs. Phillips has been an invaluable asset to the Middle School, providing consistent support to both staff and students. She has played a key role in guiding 5th grade teachers, ensuring they have the resources to maximize instruction. Her professionalism, dedication, and collaborative spirit have positively impacted teacher effectiveness and student learning, making her truly deserving of this recognition. - Mr. Jones, LEMS Principal

Public Hearing Notice
In accordance with TEC 29.081, as amended by HB 5, each school district must evaluate the effectiveness of its accelerated instruction programs and hold an annual public hearing to review the results.

The Liberty-Eylau ISD Board of Trustees will conduct this public hearing on:

6:00 p.m.
📍 LEISD Administration Building – 2901 Leopard Drive

This hearing will include the district’s evaluation of the effectiveness of State Compensatory Education (SCE) interventions.
