Family Access
What is Family Access?
Family Access is a web-based tool that allows parents/guardians of Liberty-Eylau students to access real-time information about their children.
What information is available through Family Access?
Family Access allows the parent/guardian to view student:
You can also e-mail the teachers on the student's schedule directly from Family Access if you have questions or concerns.
Who can gain access?
Only parents and/or guardians of Liberty-Eylau students can apply and receive a username/password to login to Family Access.
How do I get access?
Please fill out the Family Access Application Form and bring it along with proof of identification to your student's campus. You will receive an e-mail with information on how to login after the form has been processed through Technology.
I have more than one child in the district. Do I need more than one login to track all of my children?
No. With just one username and password you can access records for all of your children*, even if they are attending different schools within the district.
*Must be listed as guardian of all children to gain access to their information.
Can my child see the information that is available through Family Access?
Currently the high school campus (grades 9-12) and the middle school campus (grades 5-8) allow all students access to the same information via Student Access. They all receive their own username/password.
How do I know that my child's information is safe on Family Access if it is on the internet?
Family Access uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption as the security layer for data presented on the Web. This is the same encryption system used by sites that accept credit card numbers and other personal data that must be secure. Each individual, whether student, parent, or staff member, must be given a username and password and be designated as a member of a household linked to a student in order to view Family Access information.
Family Access isn't working when I try to login. What do I do?
Family Access is a web based program and it will work on any computer with an internet connection. The most common problem that people experience when trying to connect to Family Access is the pop-up blocker in their browser. To unblock pop-ups, please follow the instructions on these pages for your specific browser: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome
I forgot my username and/or password. What do I do?
Our usernames are set up as firstname.lastname - sometimes there will be more than one person in the system with that name and it will need to be altered accordingly. Passwords are made temporary and after an initial login, the user must change the password. If you don't remember your username or can't remember your password, please call Garth Attaway at 903.832.1535.
How do I e-mail a teacher?
Click Gradebook, then click on the name of the teacher you would like to e-mail. There are a few places inside of Family Access where the teacher's name will show underlined and in blue and you can click on them and e-mail the teacher.
How do I view more information about grades my child earned?
When you are in Gradebook, click on any grade that is blue, underlined and bolded to get more information about the assignments that comprise that grade. You can see all individual assignments and the mark the student received for them.

Main Page/General Information
Under the Student Info page, you can view the current information that is in the system for your student (i.e. address, phone number, e-mail, emergency contacts, grade, teacher, etc). If there is information that is incorrect or needs to be updated, please contact the campus your students resides on to get those updates made.
On the Main Page when you first log in, you will be able to see the wall or Notification Center. Any messages that are sent from teachers or the district will all show up in your notification center. You will be able to send messages to teachers and other staff members directly involved with your children via the Notification Center's Message Center, located at the top of the page. It allows you to message the teachers directly through Skyward without emailing them - it sends the message straight to their Gradebook.
Other things that can show up in the Notification Center: new discipline referrals, new grades that were posted, food service payment alerts.
On the right side of this 'wall' will be Upcoming Events, which will pull from the calendar (our district calendar) as well as assignments that are due.
Attendance
You have the ability to see your child's attendance for the entire year. If your child is marked with an unexcused absence at any point, you will be able to view it in this section and bring any appropriate notes for those dates in a timely manner.
Gradebook
In the gradebook you can view all your children's grades at once in one screen. This screen will show all missing assignments for the entire year (or just for the current term). When you click on a grade marked in blue you will see the assignments that comprise that grade as well as a pie chart explaining the category weighting of the class assignments (if applicable).
You can also subscribe to receive email notifications when a grade is posted that is below a certain grade mark (the default is 70% and can be changed by the guardian).
Discipline
This allows you to view any referrals or offenses entered by teachers and administrators for your child. You can read a description of the referral or offense as well as what actions might have been taken in order to help correct the behavior for the future. You can see the administrator and teacher that was involved with the offense or referral if you were to have any questions about it.
Schedule
You can always view your child's schedule for the school year in this area, once schedules have been set.
Food Service
You will now be able to pay food service balances through Family Access and see instantaneous posting of monies once it is processed through our system.
You can view current account balance, payment records, purchases made on specific dates, and also the school lunch menu through the Food Service tab in Family Access.
Health Information
This will allow you to electronically view all the health information (vaccinations) we have for your child for quick reference.
Report Cards
You can view all of the report cards from the current year in this area.
Graduation Requirements
See all the requirements for graduation and what your child has already taken toward those requirements.
Academic History
This is where you can view grade marks that your child made throughout all past grade years.
